How I got started with cushion upholstery?

I started with cushion upholstery two years ago. I was looking for something to do on the weekends, and I figured cushion upholstery would be a good way to earn some money and learn some skills.

I first learned how to make pillow covers by watching videos online. It was very easy, but it took me a while to figure out what kind of fabric I needed. Then I found a local seamstress who made the whole thing for me for $30, including shipping.

After that, I decided that rather than having my own business, it would be better if I could work from home making cushions and other stuff for people who had jobs or were too busy to make their own things themselves. So I spent a few months finding suppliers in Hong Kong who could ship me fabrics cheaply enough. Then I spent about six months learning how to sew and then making cushions for people all over the world!

Introduce of cushion upholstery:

I was introduced to the world of cushion upholstery by my brother-in-law who used to have a couch and loveseat. He had it done at a local shop and it looked beautiful. So I decided to go with him when he told me about it. It was very simple and cost effective, as well as very comfortable.

I researched online for a few weeks looking for cushions that would match the fabric on my couch. I found several sites that sold fabric samples, but none had what I wanted: a combination of blue, black, and cream colors that would match my couch perfectly.

The product arrived quickly, and despite being in two separate boxes (the second box contained the pillows), everything fit together perfectly!

I was introduced to cushion upholstery by a friend who had just started his own business. He had been looking for a way to make some money so he could pay off some debts and get back in the game.

I had no idea what cushion upholstery was, but he explained it to me as a way to turn old furniture into new again. I was skeptical at first, but after seeing it in action, I knew I wanted to try it myself.

I started out with an old couch that needed some work and decided that this would be the perfect project for my first cushion upholstery job! The first step was simply removing all of the stuffing from inside the cushions. This is an easy process that you can do yourself if you have time on your hands or if you have friends who can help you out. After removing all of the stuffing from inside each cushion, I washed it thoroughly with soap and water and then dried it thoroughly before putting it back into its rightful place inside my couch frame.

Once you have removed all of the stuffing from inside your cushions, you can begin staining them whatever color you want them to be! This part wasn’t too hard for me because I already owned several different.

I was introduced to the cushion upholstery business in college, when I worked at a local furniture company. I learned how to take apart a couch and put it back together again. And then, I fell in love with the craft.

I went to school for interior design and decorating, but ended up going into the cushions industry because of my passion for them.

It was an easy transition because back then, there were only two options: you could either make your own or buy ready-made. Nowadays, there are so many other options available that it can be confusing for people who are just starting out with this business.

I think it’s important for people to have a strong understanding of what they are doing before they begin their venture into this industry. It helps them know what kind of tools and materials they need to get started and how much time they’ll need to invest on each project.

I started my cushion upholstery business with a passion and a dream. I wanted to make my own business based on my experience as an interior designer and craftsman. My goal was to create something that I could be proud of, something that would provide a good livelihood for me and my family.

My love for design, craftsmanship and the creative process is what drives me to continue this journey.
